4 Powerful business-shifting questions—Get out of that rut!

Feb 09, 2021

Ever get stuck in a weird rut in your business?

You’re not sure how or why you got there but your days feel meh and the passion that was once a California forest fire is now more like a pilot light.

You still love your business and love what you do, but the days go by one-by-one and you feel like it should feel different... better somehow.

Business as usual turned into busy-ness as usual and you’re sick of the darkness already.

And if you’re a solo-preneaur, you don’t really have anyone to talk to about it (unless you have a business coach). You certainly can’t talk to your employees. You try to talk to your spouse but, while they love you, they don’t really understand what it feels like. And if you try to talk to your friends, they love you too, but you feel like they don’t totally get it either.

You start to feel the burn out, then the fear creeps in and threatens to hold you back from what you are truly capable of. Then you become paralyzed, afraid to make a move because you begin to feel so close to failure that you think making any change, even for the better, could be the thing that finally ruins it all.

I’ve felt like that. (Obviously!) And I’ve also felt a passion and mission so strong it’s all you can think about, an idea that feels so real you know in your bones you’ll make it a reality... that nothing can stop you!

These feelings and phases are cyclical, especially in business, taking us around and around in a magical spiral, growing us, and teaching us with every turn.

Things sure took a turn for me in the middle of last summer. And I am so glad I hired a business coach to help me through. Lucky for me, he understood, held space for me, believed in me, and gave me some homework that was paramount to creating custom solutions... for ME.

He made me answer 4 powerful business-shifting questions:

  1. What are you good at and enjoy doing?
  2. What are you good at and don’t enjoy doing?
  3. What aren’t you good at and enjoy doing?
  4. What aren’t you good at and don’t enjoy doing?

Those 4 questions will sort out things you didn’t even know needed sorting.

And the best part is, as a solo-preneaur, you can answer them on your own. And, you can use the answers to bring light to the darkness, spark a hotter flame, and create your own custom solutions! Because:

◽️ You have everything you need inside of you to be the best version of yourself.

◽️ God placed your desires in your heart because He wants you to have them.

◽️ You can do hard things.

◽️ Your brain is a natural problem-solver, give it the right questions and it’ll find the right solutions.

Don’t be afraid to look at what doesn’t make you happy, there are lessons there for you. There is freedom on the other side.

Don’t be afraid to make a change.

Don’t be afraid to ask for guidance.

Don’t let the rut get deeper.

Why not ask those questions about the rest of your life? Your health and fitness, your relationships, your day-to-day obligations? You can make it ALL amazing! How good will you let your life get?

I’m making space in my calendar for creative entrepreneurs. If you’ve found yourself feeling stuck in a similar rut, I’d love to see you through. Because I believe in you, I believe in your gifts and the difference you’re here to make. ♡
